Frequently Asked Questions

What level of Python knowledge do I need?

For the Foundations course, you should be comfortable reading and writing basic Python — loops, functions, and importing libraries. For the language models course, you should also be comfortable with the shell and reading unfamiliar codebases. The reading group has no code requirement.

How much time per week does each course take?

The Foundations course is paced for roughly 6–8 hours per week. The language models course assumes 8–10 hours per week given its hands-on nature. The monthly reading group is one 90-minute session plus roughly 2–3 hours of pre-reading.

Are the courses self-paced or scheduled?

The Foundations and language models courses have a weekly reading schedule, but there are no live sessions — you read and work through exercises at your own pace within each week. The reading group has a fixed monthly session date.

What do I get when I enrol?

You receive access to all written course notes, worked example notebooks, exercise sets with reference solutions, and the module discussion forums. Reading group participants also receive pre-session reading notes.

What is the pricing and how do I pay?

Foundations of Machine Learning is ฿4,800. Building With Open-Source Language Models is ฿29,500. The monthly Reading Group is ฿18,000 per year. Payment details are provided after enrolment. We accept Thai bank transfer and major cards.

Is my personal data kept private?

Can I take more than one course at the same time?

Yes, though we suggest completing the Foundations course before starting the language models course. Both courses can run alongside the reading group without conflict, since the group meets only once a month.
